Why does the total years/months/days look slightly different than my individual jobs combined?
Because months have variable lengths (28 to 31 days), summing individual job durations directly can cause drift. We calculate exact total accumulated days and convert them back to years and months using standard averages (365.25 days/year, 30.44 days/month) for a mathematically sound representation.
